Dream Look to Extend Mystics’ Misery

Atlanta is coming off an 89-80 win over the Chicago Sky, led by Tina Charles’ 22 points. The Dream have four players averaging double-digit scoring – Allisha Gray (16.0 ppg), Rhyne Howard (15.1 ppg), Charles (12.9 ppg), and Cheyenne Parker (11.1 ppg).Their balanced offense and stingy defense (5th in points allowed at 78.6 ppg) have them positioned as 7.5-point favorites over the winless Mystics.

Mystics Desperate for First Win

Washington is just five games away from tying the WNBA record for worst start to a season (0-17 by the 2008 Dream). They are struggling mightily on offense, ranking last in the league in scoring at 74.7 ppg.

Ariel Atkins (13.2 ppg) and the injured Shakira Austin (11.7 ppg) are the only Mystics averaging double figures. With Austin likely out tonight, Washington will need others to step up offensively.

The Mystics have been competitive, losing 9 games by less than 10 points. But their inability to get over the hump has them as heavy underdogs against the Dream.

Don’t miss this WNBA matchup between the Dream and the desperate Mystics tonight at 7:30 pm ET on Peachtree TV and Monumental Sports Network, or stream it live on DirecTV Stream.
