Destiny 2 players, mark your calendars! Bungie’s highly anticipated update, “Into the Light,” is set to drop on April 9, 2024. Serving as a bridge between the ongoing Season of the Wish and the climactic finale, The Final Shape, slated for June 4, this free update promises to inject fresh excitement into the Destiny universe.
What’s in Store:
Onslaught Mode: Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping experience with the introduction of Onslaught, a new 3-player cooperative activity. Players will rally together to defend the Last City’s Advanced Defense Unit against relentless waves of enemy forces. With up to 50 waves to overcome, teamwork and strategy will be crucial as you collect scrap to summon defenses and allies to aid in the fight.
Brave Arsenal Weapon Reprises: Remember those iconic Destiny 2 weapons? Well, they’re making a comeback! The “Brave Arsenal” will feature 12 beloved weapons, each with updated perk pools and enhanced capabilities. But here’s the catch: these weapons will be released in waves, with only half available at launch and the remaining unlocked weekly until May 21.
New Social Space: Halls of Champions: Get ready to explore the Halls of Champions, a brand-new social space led by none other than Lord Shaxx and Arcite 99-40. Here, players can embark on quests and activities to earn the coveted Brave Arsenal weapons.
Armor Sets and Cosmetics: Alongside the weapon reprises, Into the Light will introduce fresh armor sets inspired by Destiny 2’s original Year 1 designs for each class. Additionally, expect a range of new cosmetic items, including the highly sought-after Superblack shader.
