Campfire Challenge
If you’re playing Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, you might have a challenge that requires you to light a campfire. While this may seem like a simple task, it can get hectic early in the game! There are only eight campfire locations on the entire map, and many players will be on the hunt to complete this challenge as soon as they land.

During this initial phase, most players are focused on finding weapons and securing loot, giving you a clear shot at completing the challenge before the crowd arrives.
Finding a Campfire
While campfire locations aren’t marked on the map, they can be found in wooded areas or near campsites. Here are some additional tips for finding a campfire quickly:
- Look for smoke rising from the trees.
- Land near known cabin locations, as these often have campfires nearby.
- If you don’t see a campfire at your landing spot, rotate to another location quickly.
Light it Up and Move On
Once you find a campfire, simply interact with it to light it and complete the challenge. Don’t wait around to roast marshmallows – with the challenge out of the way, you can focus on grabbing loot and getting ready for the battle ahead!
