Manchester City fans got a sneak peek at the potential design of the team’s 2024-25 home jersey thanks to a leak from Footy Headlines. While the official release is expected later this summer, the leaked images offer a glimpse of what Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne might be sporting next season.
Classic Colors with a Modern Twist
The leaked kit maintains the traditional sky blue color scheme, but with the addition of turquoise and navy accents. White names, numbers, and logos complete the clean look.
A Tribute to Manchester
The most striking feature is the “0161” motif on the collar and sleeves. This design, inspired by graffiti, pays homage to Manchester’s telephone area code. The “0161” is also reportedly visible on the inside of the garment.
Celebrating a Milestone
The 2024-25 home kit is rumored to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Manchester City’s move from Maine Road. The price is expected to remain around £75 ($95) for an adult regular jersey.
Possible Away Kit Inspiration
The leak also suggests that Puma might be taking inspiration from City’s past for the away kit as well. The design could be based on the shirt worn during their 1999 Second Division play-off final victory against Gillingham.
Official Release Still to Come
While the leaked images provide a good indication of the new home kit’s design, fans will have to wait for the official release from Puma and Manchester City, which is expected to happen later in the summer.
