Authorities Issue Notice to Primary School in Shahjahanpur Over Unsanitary Mid-Day Meal Conditions

Authorities in Shahjahanpur have taken swift action after insects were discovered in the flour used for mid-day meals at Ganeshpur Primary School in Kalan tehsil. The Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) of the district, Ranvijay Singh, personally visited the school on Saturday to inspect the situation.

During the inspection, it was shockingly revealed that despite the government providing the necessary resources, the food was being cooked on a fireplace instead of the provided gas cylinder and stove. Furthermore, insects were found in the flour used for meal preparation.

In response to these serious violations, Ranvijay Singh promptly issued a notice to the teachers of the school, warning of strict consequences for those found responsible. Singh’s visit also uncovered additional concerning issues across the region, including teacher absenteeism and low student attendance.

It was revealed that digital attendance systems were not being properly implemented in several schools. To address these lapses, a committee has been established to thoroughly investigate and submit a report. Legal action against guilty parties, including teachers, will follow based on the findings of this investigation.
