State of Nevada Partners with CGI for ERP System Upgrade

In a significant move towards modernization, the State of Nevada has sealed a deal with CGI, a renowned IT and business consulting services firm, to overhaul its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This strategic upgrade will entail transitioning to a state-of-the-art cloud-based CGI Advantage solution, amalgamating financial, personnel, and performance data into a cutting-edge, unified platform.

The decision to embrace a cloud-based solution underscores Nevada’s commitment to enhancing resourcing capacity while ushering its systems into the future on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. With an emphasis on AI-powered monitoring and automation for crucial functions, the state is poised to continually harness the latest technological advancements.

Brian Bowles, Director of the State of Nevada Office of Personnel Management (OPM), expressed the vision behind the initiative: “CORE.NV aims to construct an integrated, statewide Enterprise Resource Planning solution for our State Financial and Human Resource systems, anchored upon CGI Advantage. This new solution promises expanded functionality, heightened responsiveness, and the agility to swiftly adapt to the evolving landscape.”

The CGI Advantage solution is designed with paramount security features and a user-centric experience, boasting a transformed role-based and responsive design that promises Nevada’s government workforce a seamless, intelligent, and intuitive interface.

Virginia Williams, Senior Vice-President of CGI’s U.S. Northwest operations, highlighted the impact of these advancements: “These novel capabilities will furnish the state with a user experience that is not only straightforward but also intelligent and intuitive for its government workforce. The revamped role-based and responsive design, along with functional enhancements, will further streamline business processes while seamlessly integrating smart technologies such as mobility and analytics.”
